About PM Shri GIC Jainoli :
Located in the serene Kumaon hills of Uttarakhand PM Shree Govt. Inter College, Jainoli offers its students a value-based quality education. Established in 1979 as a high school, the institution has grown significantly, being upgraded to Senior Secondary status in 1987. The school takes pride in its location, situated 8 km. from the Chief headquarter of Kumaon Regiment (KRC) located in Ranikhet, a cantonment town and hill station in Almora district of Uttarakhand. This setting provides students with a tranquil environment and panoramic views of the mountain peaks with a height of over 1573 meters above sea level situated within the boundaries of the holy Saim Devta’s temple.
With ongoing infrastructure development and learning enhancement programs, the school is poised to project itself as a leading institution in the near future, carrying forward the legacy of its namesake and the rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.
About Tarikhet (Ranikhet)
Tarikhet is small, yet popular hill station situated at distance of 8 km from the town of Ranikhet headquarter of Kumaon Regiment (KRC) This village is a famous as a momentous site during the India’s struggle for independence. It’s most popular attraction is the ‘Gandhi Kutiya’, which is told to be the place where Mahatma Gandhi rested for a long time during the freedom struggle. The village is very cold in the winters and remains moderate in summers, and is best enjoyed from March to October.
About PM SHRI School
PM SHRI School is a centrally sponsored scheme by the Government of India. This initiative is intended to develop more than 14500 PM SHRI Schools managed by Central Government/State/UT Government/local bodies including KVS and NVS in which every student feels welcomed and cared for, where a safe and stimulating learning environment exists, where a wide range of learning experiences are offered, and where good physical infrastructure and appropriate resources conducive to learning are available to all students.
It will nurture students in a way that they become engaged, productive, and contributing citizens for building an equitable, inclusive, and plural society as envisaged by the National Education Policy 2020. More than 20 lakh students are expected to be the direct beneficiaries of the scheme. The scheme will also promote an understanding of various dimensions of the Quality of school education and inform Policy, Practice and Implementation.
‘‘इस पुस्तक को प्रकाशित करने का मुख्य उददेश्य, पात्र लाभार्थियों को जनकल्याणकारी, स्वरोजगार/रोजगारपरक, कौशल विकास/प्रशिक्षणपरक, निवेशपरक योजनाओं का लाभ पहुंचाने की प्रक्रिया को सरल शब्दों में अवगत कराना है, जिससे पात्र लाभार्थी योजनाओं का लाभ प्राप्त कर सके और हमारा उत्तराखण्ड ‘‘सर्वश्रेष्ठ उत्तराखण्ड’’ बन सके।’’ प्रथम बार, इस प्रकार की पुस्तक बनाने का समग्र प्रयास किया गया है। यह पुस्तक जहां पात्र लाभार्थी को योजनाओं का लाभ प्राप्त करने में सहयोग करेगी वहीं नीतिनिर्धारणकर्ताओं, शोधकर्ताओं, पाठकों के लिए रूचिकर एवं सरकार द्वारा किये जा रहे प्रयासों के प्रति सजग बनायेगी।’’
